The Association of Chairmen of Local Government Service Commission has condemned the acts of banditry and insurgency ravaging different parts of the country.
The association urged the relevant authorities to make concerted efforts to confront the menace frontally as it is presently affecting the economic development of the country.

In a communiqué issued in Abuja after its meeting, and signed by the national chairman of the association, Chukwuemeka Nwatu, and the spokesman, Dr. Bem Melladu, the association commended the various law enforcement agencies and urged them to do more by bringing the criminals to their knees.
Chairmen of the association from Enugu, Benue, Kogi, Lagos, Kaduna, Osun, Ebonyi, Katsina, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Borno, Yobe, Niger, Ekiti, Oyo, FCT attended the meeting.
