A Niger Delta group, the 21st-Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience (21st CYNDAC) has condemned the call for the sack of the coordinator of the presidential amnesty program (PAP) Dr Dennis Otuaro, by some faceless groups.

Otuaro was recently appointed substantive coordinator by President Bola Tinubu.

21st CYNDAC urged the president not to be swayed by the calls of the faceless group.

21st CYNDAC in a statement by its National Coordinator, Izon Ebi, also urged the good people of the oil-rich Niger Delta region to support Otuaro as he goes about discharging his responsibilities.

The statement reads: “The 21st-century youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience (21st CYNDAC) and the whole Niger Delta has been inundated with the calls by some faceless armchair agitators for the sack of the coordinator of the presidential amnesty program (PAP) Dr Dennis Otuaro.

“To this end, there is widespread confusion, rumour-mongering and uncertainty in the running of the agency.

“The 21st-century youths and Agitators with Conscience will like to plead with Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to thread with caution while dealing with the situation so as not to end up shooting himself in the foot and taking action that will be counterproductive and inimical to the situation on the ground and the Niger Delta as a whole.

“Dr Dennis Otuaro to our knowledge has been part of the Niger Delta struggle and perfectly fits the bill to head the PAP. The agitation for his removal can only come from those who don’t wish the Niger Delta well but only wish their hungry stomachs a bulge.

“The 21st-century youths and other critical stakeholders should come together to support one of us who is a square peg in a square hole.

“We use this medium to advise Mr President not to be swayed by the theatrics and shenanigans of fifth columnists who feed on confusion and Pull him down(PHD) syndrome that has become an industry on its own to jettison a man who is a perfect fit for such a tedious endeavour.”
