The New Nigerian Movement, a civil society group, has called on youths in the country to actively participate in politics so that old politicians will stop dominating the nation’s political landscape and relegating them to the background.
In a goodwill message to the youths in commemoration of the Sallah, the Co-Convener/Spokesperson, Comrade Abdullahi Abdulmajeed, urged the youth to be academically minded, hardworking and strive to acquire meaningful skills, saying it would stand in good stead any time, any day.
Abdulmajeed said the 2019 elections would be a good time for the youth to make political endeavours, noting that the recent passing of the ‘Not Too Young to Run’ bill by the National Assembly and its endorsement by President Muhammadu Buhari was a good opportunity.
