A support group for the president-elect, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023, has donated food items to Halal Children’s Home II, an Orphanage in Abuja.
The group visited the children’s home located at Brains &Hammers Estate and donated bags of rice, cartons of spaghetti, noodles, toiletries and other items.
Speaking during the visit, the Director-General of the group, Barr Rilwan Okpanachi, said the group decided to celebrate the president-elect’s birthday by visiting orphanages and breaking fast with the less privileged.
According to him, the gesture was carried out not only in Abuja but in other parts of the country, saying they have been doing it for years.
