Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), has constructed four 30-bed capacity maternity facilities in four council areas on the Nigeria-Niger border of Jigawa state.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Captain Junaid Abdullahi, made this known, yesterday while speaking with Daily Trust in Gumel, the headquarters of Gumel LGA, saying border communities had suffered series of neglect until the coming of the present administration.
He added that Kazaure, Babura, Gumel and Ringim LGAs, each benefited from the construction of maternity ward, 6.5kva generator set, solar-powered borehole and 50,000-litre water tank.
