The Director-General of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW), Dr Bukar Hassan, says the agency will partner with Trust TV and Daily Trust, both of which are owned by Media Trust Limited, to create awareness about the agency’s activities.
He spoke in Abuja Wednesday when the management team of TrustTV visited him to introduce the new television station to him.

He said: “There’s nothing stopping us from working together, if you talk about newspapers, you’ll have to mention Daily Trust. So, that alone shows that anybody who has the opportunity to ride with you will do so.
“I urge you to continue to do the good work and we’ll benefit from the good work you’re doing.
“It’s true that very little is known about what is happening in the environment sector, we must find a way to make sure all stakeholders are at the same level because if they don’t know, they cannot be part of it.
“That’s why we’d like to work with the television and the newspaper to make sure that people get to know what we’re doing.
“I’ve spoken to the people in charge of sensitization to know that whenever we’re doing our planning, you’ll be included”.
Earlier, the General Manager of Trust TV, Malam Ibrahim Shehu Adamu, said the visit was to introduce the television station to the management of the NAGGW and to deepen the existing relationship with Media Trust.
General Manager, Business and Strategy, Media Trust Limited, Malam Ahmed Shekarau, noted that the activities of the NAGGW would be better captioned in a video format “for people to see and also for preservation purposes for future generations to know what the agency has been doing.”
