Kano gubernatorial candidate of Green Party of Nigeria (GPN), Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura has on Moday unveiled his 26 point development agenda for Kano state as part of GPN’s campaign strategy ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Speaking to newsmen in Kano at his campaign office, Zaura revealed that his contest for the number one seat in the state is in tune with the masses call for a young and patriotic candidate that will lead in transforming the state to a much better place and also to restore the state’s lost glory.

He added that, under the 26 point agenda, GPN will try to address the prevailing Almajiri issue that has been bedeviling the state and has defiled many attempts to address it. “In our 26 point agenda, we have adopted a system that will take away this innocent children off the street through creation of a system that will treat the Almajiri schools like primary schools among other measures,” he said.

According to him, his government will generate 200mw of electricity In first two years of his government which he said will be increased to 400mw in four years. He further stated that, his government if elected will achieve that through renewable energy through waste energy plant which he said will be created by his government.

“My government if elected will establish waste energy plant that will produce 200mw of electricity in our first two years which we will increase to 400mw in four years,” he concluded.
