The Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states (BRAC) Coastal Aborigines have declared total support for the former military head of state, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd).
This was contained in a statement by the General Coordinator of BRAC Coastal Aborigines, Doris McDaniels.

The group was reacting to calls for Gowon to apologise for recent “inflammatory” comments about the Nigerian Civil War experience.

BRAC said they were grateful to Gowon for creating BRAC states out of the former Eastern Region government.
