The call was made by Architect Fola Alade in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State during the 76th anniversary of Christ’s School in Aado-Ekiti.
Alade, the 76th Founders’ Day Celebrations chairman, however, took a swipe on governments for paying little attention to the educational sector, which is the bedrock of any developmental growth.
According to him, schools had been poorly funded by government, pointing out that the situation had actually affected the quality of graduates produced for the labour market.
While commending the immediate past president of the school alumni, Retired Justice Olatanwura, Architect Alade urged the alumni members to support the new president, Dr Kayode Obembe, to uplift the school. He called on the new and old students of the school to sustain its good name, adding that the school had produced many successful individuals in all facet of human endeavour.
The school commissioned the N.7million electrification project in the Christ’s School compound, solely financed by the alumni association.
