The Edo State Government has advised owners of illegal buildings and structures on the premises or lands of public schools in the state to vacate such premises by December 1.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Orientation and Communication, Paul Ohonbamu, and made available to journalists in Benin.

The statement said the illegal buildings and structures would be demolished because they were hindering government’s ongoing remodeling of public schools.
Ohonbamu explained that the state government’s policy to develop and remodel all public schools to meet modern standard was being implemented and that any structure that would hinder it would not be spared.
