The Sokoto State Government has spent N36.4 million to repair potholes at roundabouts and on major roads in the state.
The Special Assistant to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in charge of the Sokoto Urban and Regional Planning Board, Alhaji Sidi Aliyu Lamido, made this known on Friday.

Lamido said the ongoing renovation was meant to cushion the suffering of motorists and other road users.
“The potholes were causing unnecessary accidents. This is why His Excellency, mandated our agency to collaborate with Sokoto Road Maintenance Agency to repair our roads and make them potholes free,” he said, adding that the renovation cost N36.4 million.
