The Kaduna State Government has officially handed over the Zaria Pharmaceutical Company Limited to a new investor, Farenheight Pharmaceutical Limited.
It also handed over the popular Zaria Hotel to Africa Continental Hotel and Resorts.
Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, performed the handing over ceremony in Zaria.
She said the handing over followed the company’s success after competitive and transparent bidding managed by the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency, KADIPA.
Balarabe said the state government took the decision “to sell off all its commercial enterprises to private investors to strengthen the private investment drive of the government
Responding while taking over the former Zaria Pharmaceuticals limited, the Coordinating Director, Fahrenheit Pharmaceuticals Limited, Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, said apart from revamping the company and restoring it to its lost glory, the company intends to create more job opportunities than it used to be in the past.
