Govt gives noodle, 5kg rice as COVID-19 palliatives

Ebonyi State government yesterday flagged off the distribution of its palliatives to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic to residents of the state.

Daily Trust on Sunday gathered that the palliative would be shared at the existing polling units in the state.

The exercise, conducted by the deputy governor, Dr. Kelechi Igwe, took place at Amuzu Community Secondary School in Ezza South Local Government Area of the state.

Addressing journalists at the end of the monitoring exercise, the secretary to the state government, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, said government official were present there to avoid hoodlums from hijacking the items from the beneficiaries.

Our correspondent who was at Amuzu Community Secondary School, observed that items shared were 2 sachets of Indomie and 5Kg bags of rice to each beneficiary.
