The Delta State Government has approved the construction of a new ultramodern Central Secretariat complex in Asaba, the state capital, in a bid to reduce the N650 million the state spends on rented buildings yearly.
The proposed office complex is the third to be located, between the initial two secretariats, along Mariam Babangida Way.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, told journalists in Asaba that all ministries, boards and agencies (MDAs) currently operating in several locations in the state capital would be accommodated in the new complex.
