General Manager, Yobe State Roads Maintenance Agency YORMA, Engr. Tijjani Hamisu Bala, in a statement, said Governor Mai Mala Buni had directed that the agency should commence immediate rehabilitation of critical roads across the state.
He said the roads mapped out for repairs were presently in a terrible state, and that the situation was impeding smooth flow of traffic in those areas with its attendant consequences.
The General Manager noted that the current flood disaster ravaging the world has caused a severe infrastructural collapse in the state, including roads and bridges, but the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni has taken a drastic measure in ensuring that the hardship that may be faced by the common man as a result of this natural disaster is eliminated by its timely intervention in repairing of all state roads (inter and intra-local government).
