Gov’t awards contracts for 14 township roads

The Sokoto State government has awarded contracts for the reconstruction of 14 township roads, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Sirajo Marafa Gatawa, has said.

Gatawa did not reveal how much the reconstruction would take, but listed some of the roads to include, Keystone, NNPC, Sani Dingyadi, Katsina and Tsefe roads. Others are dualization of the Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki and Agae roads.

He said all government houses had been sold to civil servants to enable them own houses, adding that the state would soon establish the Geographic Information System (GIS) department to simplify the process of getting the certificates of ownership.
