About N24 billion is to be expended by the Katsina State Government for the construction of seven rural roads and electrification of 34 communities, the state Commissioner for Works, Housing, and Transport, Engineer Tasi’u Musa Dandagoro has said.
The roads are, kankara- Mango – Dansabau road, Mararrabar Musawa- Gingin-kurkujan – border with Kano state, Mashi to Birnin kuka, and Rimaye- sukuntuni – Magam- karaduwa road. Others include Dayi- Tuge- Gundawa-wawar kaza road, Yandaki-Gafiya-Abdallawa- Dankaba road and Sabke- Randa-Danaunai-Dutsi road.
Speaking on the outcome of the state executive council meeting, Dandagoro said the roads to be constructed were double coated surface dressing with a total length of 187km.
On the electrification project, he said the 34 communities belong to each of the 34 LGAs across the state.
