The Jigawa State Government has approved the release of N119 million for the provision of drinking water in 124 communities.
The state Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport and Culture, Bala Ibrahim Mamser who made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Dutse, said the project focused on construction of 110 hand pumps and 24 water collection points for ensuring access to clean drinking water.

He said the present administration had made a priority of providing clean drinking water to the citizens to improve their health and would partner with donor agencies, federal government, organizations and individuals in achieving the desired goals.
