Govt, AfDB mull ranches, grazing reserves

The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Sokoto State Government are working towards boosting livestock farming in the state with the establishment of ranches and grazing reserves.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Bello, said the project, when completed would also curtail banditry and sundry crimes in the state.

The statement noted that Tambuwal met with the management of the AfDB, led by its President, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, at the bank’s headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
