Gov’ship polls: Emir urges politicians to be tolerant, patient

The Emir of Gwandu and Chairman, Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, has charged politicians and those contesting political offices to imbibe the virtues of patience, perseverance and tolerance in the pursuit of their ambitions.

He enjoined them to strengthen their faith in God as the one who gives power to whoever He desires and takes it away from anybody if He wishes.

“Like other sections of the country, Gwandu Emirate is also feeling the effect of naira redesign policy. Two other challenges we are facing are the impending governorship elections and the national census,” the emir said.
