Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has said that the re-scheduled March 18 governorship and state houses of assembly elections call for a critical evaluation and decision by Ndigbo.
Governor Umahi further said that taking into consideration the contributions of Ndigbo in the development and unity of the country, it behoves on them to ensure that they cast their votes in the right and appropriate direction wherever they were to further consolidate on the gains they have so far attained.
In a statement, the governor who is senator-elect for Ebonyi South senatorial district specifically urged all Ndigbo living in Lagos to ensure that they come out and vote massively for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the governorship candidates of the party in Ogun and Oyo states.
Umahi also canvassed for the election of the governorship candidates of the APC in Borno, Cross River, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa and Zamfara states as a way of further cementing the cordial relationship that exists between the Ndigbo and the various people of the aforementioned states.

While commending the commitment and character of purpose of Ndigbo for a greater and better Nigeria which he noted have been demonstrated over time and everywhere they choose to reside and carry out legitimate business, Umahi stressed that a collective decision to vote massively for the APC would guarantee a more harmonious relationship that would further enhance their businesses and peaceful stay everywhere they chose to reside.
