The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said Governors elected on its platform will reply to the former Rivers State Governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike’s remarks on them.
The PDP also said nobody is above the party and it belongs to the people.
Recall that during the party congress in Rivers State on Saturday, Wike warned PDP governors to avoid interfering in the party’s matters in Rivers State, threatening to “put fire in their states.”
“Let me assure all of you, not while we live will anybody take away the structure of the PDP from us. But let me tell people, I hear some governors who say they will take over the structure and give back to somebody,” Wike had said.

But addressing a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba said, “What I can tell you is that nobody is above this party. It is the People’s Democratic Party.”
He also said the remark was directed at the Governors and they would respond to it in their own time.
Ologunagba, who also spoke on the invitation extended to Wike by the Party’s Disciplinary committee said, “What we have done is set up bodies (reconciliation and disciplinary committees) and given them the mandate to do the job. We will not tell them do this or do that, We will wait for their report,” he said.
