Daily Trust on Saturday gathered that Kirfi tendered his resignation Friday over ‘unconfirmed political squabbles’ with his boss.
Kirfi was appointed February 19, 2020 and resigned on Friday, bringing the number of top government officials that resigned since inception of Bala Mohammed administration to five.
They include former Commissioner of Finance, Nura Manu Soro; the Special Adviser to the governor on Political Matters, Shitu Zaki; the former Chief of Staff to the governor, Abubakar Kari and the former Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Sadiq.
When contacted over the resignation, State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Alhaji Yayanuwa Zainabari, described the people who resigned as individuals unable to discharge responsibilities assigned to them.
Efforts to get the reaction of Kirfi was not successful at the time of filing this report.
