The 20 local government areas in Bauchi State will have a commissioner each in order to widen representation and sources of generating ideas.
Governor Mohammed Abubakar in a statement by his Press Secretary, Abubakar Al-Sadique stated that plans had been concluded to constitute the new State Executive Council.

According to the statement, membership of the executive council will be expanded to 20 with technocrats and experienced people with diverse professional backgrounds.
Governor Abubakar had in 2015 reduced the number of ministries and commissioners from 26 to 16.
