Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has signed the 2022 budget of the State of over 110 billion into law.
While signing the budget, the Governor expressed the need for government officials to redouble efforts toward the success of the 2022 budget.

Giving assent to the 2022 appropriation law earlier passed by the state Assembly, Governor Sule appreciated the Speaker and members of the state assembly for the speedy passage of the appropriation bill.
While saying the 2021 budget had a 64 per cent performance rate, Governor Sule said the 2022 budget was jacked up from the initial N109 billion to N110 billion.
He maintained that measures have been put in place to ensure an increase in the performance of the budget to meet up with the projects that have been captured therein.
He said the Idadu-Agbashi road and the dualisation of Shendam road to the state assembly as some of the projects that would soon be embarked on.
Earlier, the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, explained that the budget went through due process before it was passed for the governor’s assent.
Balarabe-Abdullahi assured that the state legislature would continue to work in the interest of the people of Nasarawa State.
