Bauchi junction is one of the most congested junctions in Jos, the Plateau State capital. It connects the roads linking Bauchi, Kano, Zaria, Abuja and Jos metropolis.
Anyone coming from Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, Adamawa Kano, or Zaria, must go through the junction.

Sadly, the junction is too narrow, which causes accidents to happen daily, often leading to loss of lives and property, especially for traders operating along the junction. This is because of the huge congestion of pedestrians and vehicles moving around.
Many times, motorists spend hours at the junction because of the congestion. This also results in another holdup at the Zololo and Yantaya junctions thereby complicating vehicular movements in the metropolis.
The congestion also affects students going to the permanent site of the University of Jos as well as conveying patients to the University of Jos Teaching Hospital from Mista Ali, Farin Gada, Naraguta, Babale and Zakaliyo.
Therefore, I call on Governor Simon Bako Lalong to urgently do something to decongest the point in order to alleviate the suffering of commuters as well as save the lives and properties of those who use the junction.
