The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Hassan Kukah, has said that governance in the nation has been criminalised.
He disclosed this yesterday at the public presentation of Todd Moss’s thriller novel, ‘The Shadow List’, which took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Kukah, who was chairman of the occasion, said "fixing Nigeria needs more than goodwill", adding that national cohesion and holding the country together are the most important.
"We cannot fight corruption if we haven’t done a diagnosis of the environment," Kukah said.
Dignitaries at the event include Malam Nuhu Ribadu, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Denja Abdullahi, President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), among others.
Todd Moss served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the United States, where he was responsible for diplomatic relations with 16 West African Countries. He said Nigeria inspired ‘The Shadow List’.
