The Director-General of Media and Publicity, Kano Government house, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, has lost his child, Sadiq Modibbo Bature,
Sadiq, 15 years old, died after undergoing surgery in India. He was confirmed dead after an operation at the India hospital, on Thursday.
The deceased had suffered excruciating pains from sick cell anemia from birth until he succumbed to the final call.
Announcing the sad incident on his social media page, Bature disclosed that his Sadiq who was his first child, died from post-surgery complications.

According to him, “This morning, I lost my first child Sadiq (Modibbo) Bature at age of 15. He lived as a good, brilliant and obedient child.
“Throughout his life, Modibbo has suffered from sickle cell anaemia which he undergone a successful bone marrow transplant this month in an Indian hospital. Unfortunately, he died as a result of a post-surgery complications in his brain.
“The body of our beloved Saddiku would be brought back home in few days for burial in according with Islamic rites in my home town, Dawakin-Tofa. Date and time would be annouced on arrival of his remains.”
Friends, political associates and family members of the Governor’s Spokesperson have been praying tribute to the teenager.
