Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with the family of Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, over the death of his stepmother, Hajia Hauwa Abba Kormi.
In a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf arrived Maiduguri in the early hours of Saturday, February 3 and visited the family house of VP Shettima.
While condoling with the family of the deceased, the people and government of Borno State, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf prayed Almighty Allah to dwell her gentle soul in Jannatul Firdaus.
He said, “Your Excellency, we are here on behalf of the government and good people of Kano to share our most sincere condolences to you and the extended family on the death of our beloved mother.”

Yusuf prayed, “May Almighty Allah, the most exalted grant her gentle soul eternal rest, give you the courage and fortitude to bear her loss, and Jannatul Firdausi be her final abode.”
