Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum yesterday turned back a young man, Usman Zubairu, trekking from Jigawa to Maiduguri to show love for the governor.
He asked the trekker to offer silent prayers in place of the trek.
Zubairu was said to have embarked on the trip from Hadeja on Thursday with pictorial progresses of his movements being shared on different social media platforms.

In one YouTube video he said he began the journey to honour the Borno Governor for his style of leadership.
However, in a tweet via his handle @ProfZulum on Friday afternoon, Governor Zulum appealed to Zubairu to “abort his courageous mission” even though he expressed gratitude.
