Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has charged the 2, 298 corps members posted to the state to be agents of change so that the purpose of the scheme, which includes promoting oneness across Nigeria can be achieved.
The governor gave the charge at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2019 Batch `B’ corps members posted to the state at the Dan Yamusa Orientation Camp in Keffi Local Government Area of the state.
Represented by his deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, he said ” “Youths play a pivotal role in every society hence the call on them to embrace the federal government’s change initiative by been positive role models wherever they find themselves.”
He congratulated the corps members for successfully completing their studies to be eligible for national service said they should use the opportunity of their posting to the state to promote unity, peace and mutual coexistence.
He also urged them to respect the various cultures of the people in the state especially when they are posted to various communities for their primary assignments.
