Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the sum of N500 million and six transformers for the electrification of rural communities in the state.
The governor said the approval was part of the efforts of his administration to provide electricity to rural communities, especially, Loko, the headquarters of Loko Development Area.

Governor Sule made this known in his speech during the presentation of relief materials to victims of the flood in Loko.
While noting that the people have the right to demand essential services such as electricity, he said his administration considered the historical significance of the ancient town of Loko before deciding to do what previous administrations have not done.
