The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has said that his administration embarked on community engagement in order to know the peculiar needs of each community and work towards meeting those developmental needs.
This, he added, necessitated his decision to appoint three Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) on Community Engagement for the three senatorial districts of the State.
The governor stated this on Monday when he received the community engagement (Needs Assessment) report for Ondo North Senatorial District at his office in Akure.
Governor Aiyedatiwa promised to personally review the report and ensure that the policies and projects identified will form a crucial part of the 2025 budget.

He assured the committee that efforts would be made to implement policies tailored to the specific needs of the six local government areas within the Ondo North Senatorial District.
Aiyedatiwa further highlighted that the report would serve as a crucial reference for technocrats, political office holders, and relevant agencies, enabling them to allocate resources more effectively and address the precise needs of the people.
The report, which was presented by the Advisory Council for the district, contains a comprehensive outlay of the immediate and long-term development needs of the district.
Key areas of focus in the report include power supply, infrastructure development, education, and other critical sectors vital to the district’s growth.
