The Governor of Taraba state Dr Agbu Kefas has assented to the bill for the establishment of a rotational kingship in Takum Kingdom.
While assenting to the bill on Friday, Governor Kefas said it is in the interest of peace and development of the state.
He commended the members of the House of Assembly for passing the bill into law.
Speaking, during the signing ceremony, Deputy Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Hamman Adama Borkono said the bill has gone through all the legislative processes.

The governor had sent an executive bill for “The One Rotational 1st Class Chief and Three 3rd Class Chiefs for Takum.”
The bill was intended to foster a good relationship and brotherhood between the Jukuns, Chambas and the Kuteb people, who are the main ethnic groups in Takum.
