The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel has sacked Dr Uduak Udo-Inyang as the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Sufficiency in the state.
The sack was stated in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Uyo.
Gov. Emmanuel has directed the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Prof. Nse Essien to take over the duties and functions of the former commissioner.
Though the governor gave no reason for relieving Dr Udo-Inyang from his position, he appreciated him for his service to the state and wished him well in his future endeavours.
“Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has relieved the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Sufficiency, Dr Uduak Udo-Inyang of his duties with immediate effect.
“The Governor has directed the Hon. Commissioner for Science and Technology, Professor Nse Essien to immediately take over the duties and functions of the former Commissioner.
“The Governor thanked the erstwhile commissioner for his service to the State and wishes him goodluck in his future endeavours,” the release said.
