Gov Diri swears in 24 commissioners

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has sworn-in 24 commissioners screened and confirmed by the state House of Assembly last week, urging them to be sensitive servant leaders.

Performing the swearing-in and assigning portfolios to the commissioners on Tuesday in Yenagoa, Governor Diri urged them to be innovative and creative to fashion favourable climate for generation of ideas in their various ministries.

Diri who has spent six months as governor, said the delay was due to COVID-19 pandemic.
