Gov Cup final: Nasarawa FA presents jerseys to Nasarawa, Lafia LGAs

Ahead of the Nasarawa state 2024 governorship cup football final, the leadership of Nasarawa State Football Association (FA), has presented the two finalists with new sets of jerseys each.

Presenting the jerseys to the two teams in a short event at the NSFA Board Room in Lafia, the state capital yesterday, the state Chairman of the FA, Salisu Usman-Galadima appreciated all the teams per local government for participating at the Governor’s Cup.

He posited that the aim of organising the governorship football tournament was to fish out hidden young talents that would be recruited into the Nasarawa state football club of Lafia and measure up with the players and strength the state team.

According to him, the of the tournament also was to promote peace amongst the good people of the state irrespective of their tribe, colour and religion, given detailed reasons on why it took a little time for the final date to be decided, he stated that the association needed to put its arrangements in order to ensure the final is hitch free of any challenges that might occured during the game.

Daily Trust reports that in the loser’s final on Saturday 26th October 2024 by 9:30am Karu LGA will play Keffi LGA while in the final Lafia LGA will take Nasarawa LGA for a size respectively.

Our correspondent reports that the high point of the event saw Salisu Usman Galadima presents the match day jerseys to both representatives of Lafia and Nasarawa LGAs.
