Gov Buni administers oath to new appointees in Yobe

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has sworn in two commissioners, the state head of service, four permanent secretaries, and 28 special advisers in a bid to enhance service delivery in the state.

The newly appointed Commissioners are Prof. Abba Idris and Alhaji Mohammed Mohammed Bara.

Governor Buni charged them to contribute effectively to government policies and projects with transparency and prudence, emphasising service to the people and the future of the state.

Addressing the new Head of Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji, Governor Buni stressed the need to cultivate an efficient workforce amid retirements. He promised support for training to boost service efficiency and warned against favoritism in appointments and promotions.

To the Special Advisers, Governor Buni urged them to engage their constituents actively to ensure understanding of government policies and programmes. He emphasised the importance of grassroots connections for informed advice.

Additionally, Governor Buni swore in officials for the Teaching Service Board, State Independent Electoral Commission, and the Local Government Service Commission.
