Radio is an audio device for passing messages to a large audience. Radio involves the process by which messages are sent through electronic waves. In other words, the sound could be sent and received through these waves. Radio is defined as the process of sending and receiving messages through the air, using electromagnetic waves. It is also about the activity of broadcasting programmes for people to listen to the programmes being broadcast.

The Department of Mass Communication, A.D Rufa’i College of Education, Legal and General Studies, Misau needs an urgent intervention from the Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed to construct an FM radio station like Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi because it will help in producing quality graduates.

The college and department had struggled for years without a radio station that can be operated within the college campus which is mainly for educational purposes where students, especially from the mass communication department, would learn the art of journalism and other media studies.

The radio station, if constructed, will be of tremendous benefit to the people of Misau and its environs among many others. This is because it will also help in boosting the economic activities of many people and produce quality graduates from the college.

I urge Governor Bala Mohammed and the relevant authorities to do all the needful to construct a radio station in A.D Rufa’i College of Education, Legal and General Studies, Misau because of its importance to the students of Mass Communication and society at large.
