Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, of Kebbi state has presented a budget proposal of N141 billion to the state assembly for 2021 fiscal year.
The governor, who did not give a breakdown of the sectoral allocations of the budget said, the sum of N92.1 billion would go to the capital expenditure while N49.5 was for current expenditures.

Bagudu, who said despite the global challenge of COVID-19 pandemic and the #EndSARS crisis that bedevilled the country, the state was able to do well in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) as the state was able to generates over N10 billion qs at October this year saying, this indicated 65 percent performance of IGR in the state.
“This year’s expected revenue for the state is N141.6 billion upon which the budget framework for 2021 is based. Kebbi state was recently, adjudged as one of the best state with lowest recurrent expenditure in the country.”
In his response, the Speaker of Kebbi House of Assembly, Ismaila Abdulmumini Kamba, assured the governor of the speedy passage of the bill saying, the assembly would ensure that the budget will passed before January 2021.
