Gov Bagudu loses younger brother

Alhaji Faruku Bagudu, the immediate younger brother to Kebbi state governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, is dead.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mu’azu Dakingari, said he died in the early hours of Thursday morning at his residence in Birnin Kebbi after a brief illness.

According to a family member who craved anonymity, he died a day after returning from the Abuja hospital where he was taken for treatment.

“The late Bagudu was 56 before his death. He was the Managing Director of Jihab, a communication outfit in Birnin Kebbi and Sokoto.

“He is survived by a wife and four children. He has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Senator Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi has condoled Governor Bagudu for the death of his younger brother.

A statement signed by his media aide, Muhammed Jamil Yusuf Gulma, said the death of the business icon was a great loss to Kebbi people  and the business sector of the state.

Senator Abdullahi prayed Allah to grant him Aljanna and the family courage to bear the loss.
