Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state has approved the appointment of Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Bologi, as a new Etsu Patigi.
In a letter, titled, approval of appointment/grading as First Class chief, signed by the commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Alhaji Saidu Habeeb, on Thursday, the governor also approved grading of the new traditional ruler as first class chief.
The new Etsu Patigi, Bologi, succeeds his late father, Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta Umar, who died on March 19, 2019.
The late monarch, aged 59, was the vice chairman of the Kwara state traditional council.
Governor Ahmed said that the appointment of the new traditional ruler would enhance performance of the monarch in the discharge of his responsibility with greater commitment, loyalty and dedication.
The governor, who congratulated the new Etsu Patigi, wished him a peaceful and successful reign in his domain.
