‘Got you’! Hungry duck wrestles with a bright red crayfish

This hooded duck looks like a strange alien creature with bright red pincers as he clutches a crayfish in his beak. At first glance, the black and white bird and the crimson crustacean appear to be one unusual hybrid animal drifting on the water of a large pond. After shaking away the crustacean’s claws for about five minutes, the small duck finally ate his snack by engulfing the crayfish all in one go at a large pond in Fullerton, California.
