He encouraged investors to come and invest in Gombe State, noting that the state remained an investment destination for all as it was safe with good returns on investment.

Yahaya, who was accorded the honour of ringing the closing gong, said the green bond was an initiative aimed at raising funds in order to finance eco-friendly and environmentally friendly investments, especially in assets that would contribute to restoration and upliftment of human life.

Yahaya, who addressed investors on the boundless opportunities in Gombe during the roundtable session, said the state was committed to harnessing the capital market through green bonds to stimulate sustainable development.

He said, “We are expecting to raise about N30bn for a start; we are breaking it into tranches; that’s our intention, and we are sure from what we saw and the acceptance we have gotten from the floor. We are going to hit our target.”
