Gombe Utd hold Bendel Insurance as Abia Warriors wallop Dakkada

Gombe United on Saturday became the first team to stop Bendel Insurance from scoring and picking the maximum points during the Match Day 6 of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League.

Insurance had gone into the game with a perfect record of 5 wins in 5 games but had that streak snapped as the game ended goalless at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The ‘Benin Arsenal’ had kicked off the proceedings with vigour and confidence creating several chances in the process. Imade Osarenkhoe was a major threat to the Gombe side but was unable to hurt their visitors.
