Gombe United have unveiled experienced coach, Bala Nyiku, as the club’s new Technical Adviser.
The former Nasarawa United and Katsina United coach’s immediate task is to return the ‘Savannah Scorpions’ to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
Gombe United were relegated last season, but the club management is optimistic that the appointment of Nikyu, who brings vast experience, will be instrumental in reviving the team’s fortunes and securing their promotion.
The General Manager of the club, Abubakar Abubakar ‘Yellow’, stated that the decision to engage the new Technical Adviser was made based on his proven track record, not for personal interests.

Abubakar assured that the new Technical Adviser would have the full support of the management and the freedom to make necessary decisions, including the authority to release players who do not align with his vision.
In his response, Nyiku assured the club’s management of positive results, stating, “I’m not just making promises; by the grace of God, you will see the results you expect from me.”
He also pledged to work with those who are genuinely committed to the club’s success and to part ways with those who do not contribute positively, as the management has granted him the authority to do so.
