The Daily Trust’s correspondent in Gombe State, Haruna Gimba Yaya, has lost his father, Alhaji Gimba Yahaya Ladan, the Sarkin Leman Gombe.

 Alhaji Ladan died at age 69 on Wednesday night at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, where he was receiving treatment.

 He is survived by two wives, 17 children, and 34 grandchildren.

 He succeeded his late father, Sarki Leman Gombe, who died in 2004.

The deceased was a former employee of the Ministry of Cooperatives in Bauchi State, before Gombe was created.

Until his death, he worked with the Right Click Engineering Firm, a company working to provide electricity in rural areas.

Daily Trust extends condolences to Haruna Gimba Yaya, his siblings, and the entire family. 

Meanwhile, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has consoled the Daily Trust’s correspondent, the bereaved family, and Gombe Emirate over the sad incident.

 Yahaya, in a statement by the Director General, Press and Public Affairs, Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, prayed to Almighty Allah to reward him with Aljannat Firdaus.
