A member representing Balanga/Billiri federal constituency of Gombe State has distributed empowerment items to the less privileged, vulnerable and people living with disabilities.
Addressing the beneficiaries at the Billiri Township Stadium, Victor Mela Danzaria, said the items were to be distributed to support the beneficiaries to make them self-reliant.

According to him, the intervention also covered the education sector, beginning with the training of primary school teachers, to improve the standard of education at the primary school level.
The lawmaker also announced a cash donation of N20, 000 each to over 200 persons as a way of supporting them financially, to enable them start small-scale businesses.
North East Trust reports that items distributed include; motorcycles, sewing machines, water pumps for irrigation farming, locally fabricated wheelchairs for the physically challenged, grinding machines, vulcanising machines and generators among others.
Mr Danzaria appealed to the youth in the area to embrace peaceful co-existence and cultivate the habit of tolerance towards one another in the interest of development.
He assured the people of his constituency of quality and sound representation at the National Assembly to improve their standard of living.
