Gombe Police Command gets new spokesperson  

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali has approved the posting of ASP Mahid Muazu as the new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Gombe State Police Command.

A statement issued on Wednesday by ASP Muhammed Hashim Tunbade, said ASP Muazu took over from SP Obed Mary Malum, who was posted to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the command.

The new spokesperson holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State and was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in December 2018 as an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

ASP Muazu attended Combat Operation Course at the Police Mobile Force Training College and holds a Professional Certificate on Cyber Security Studies.

Until his new appointment which takes immediate effect, ASP Muazu was Divisional Crime Officer at the Gona Divisional Office in Akko Local Government Area of the state.

The statement further assured the people of the state, especially the media that the new spokesperson will respond promptly to all enquiries on police activities in the state.
