The Gombe state government said it has removed payment of business premises fees for business start-ups in the state, to encourage people to venture into businesses without difficulties.
The state’s Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Tourism, Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu announced the development in a statement issued to newsmen Sunday in Gombe.

He said Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the waiver in compliance with World Bank reform measures on Ease of Doing Business and also as a means of encouraging would-be business men and women to venture into business activities with ease.
According to him, the ministry has launched other reform measures aimed at providing a conducive environment for business and commercial activities to thrive in the state.
“The measures include the review of guidelines on granting approval on construction permits, registration of business properties and enforcing contracts in the administration of justice,” he said.
